Day Let (Temp Stall, Barrows)
If you have a product and would like to dip your toes into selling this direct to the public, then our Day Lets are ideal. At the Moor we have 5 barrow spaces which are placed on our main entrance ramp, and at our Crystal Peaks Market we have two barrows within our entrance area, or you can let a stall for a day. We ideally want craft / artisan goods, though we welcome any enquiries. Please note that we will not allow goods that clash directly with our Indoor Permanent traders. Payment for our spaces is required up front once your booking has been confirmed.
We have a regular and casual offering for outdoor traders. For those wishing to look at a permanent stall on the Moor Open Market we have an introductory period that allows you to test your trade before signing as a regular trader. This market operates 6 days Monday to Saturday and traders can choose the days they wish to trade.
Our casual offering operates over 6 days: All our outdoor markets operate between the hours of 08:30 and 16:30 and goods van be unloaded and loaded directly on-site at the stall.
Short Terms - Fixed Period
Markets can be ideal locations for start-up businesses, or for someone wishing to broaden their business horizons. We can offer you the opportunity to test your business for a fixed period, up to 6 months, giving you the chance to engage with and develop a customer base. As a trader in one of our Indoor Markets your business will be promoted on our website and you can actively utilise our social media channels by sharing your content with us direct. We offer 2 payment options; full payment up front, or monthly payments which require an administration fee and legal checks prior to approval.
Long term Permanent Stall
For those wishing to open a business in one of our Indoor Markets you can apply for a permanent stall. You will join vibrant group of traders who have the satisfaction of running their own small business, and become part of our great community of Independent retailers. As part of our market “family” you will have access to help and advice through Business Sheffield and we will personally help to promote your business online and through social media channels. We have many long-standing traders who show that Markets are a life-blood for those who wish to succeed. Please note that our application process does require an administration fee and legal searches to be actioned.
Temporary Market Licence
Sheffield City Council holds the ‘market rights’ for Sheffield and the surrounding area. If you’re planning to hold any Fairs, Car Boots, Craft Markets, Table Top Sales or any other kind of Market then you need to inform us so we can offer you advice and guidance, or apply directly for a license. Market events can be useful for organisations, charities, local groups, etc. but all market type events have to be authorised and licensed by us.
