Moor Market traders shed their clothes and their inhibitions to bravely pose for a naked calendar to raise money for autism charity Buzz Sheffield.
The market traders regularly support local charities through activities in the market but wanted to do something different for a charity they have not yet supported.
Sheffield resident and friend of the market traders, Kay Swift heard about the plans to produce a calendar and jumped at the chance to gain support for local charity Buzz Sheffield who provide playgroups and holiday clubs for children with autism and learning disabilities.
The calendar features 12 different traders from the market, each hiding their modesty with goods from their stalls. February is a chip off the butchers block with Morley’s Meats, April is blooming with Meadowhead Florist and June is bursting with Tracey’s fresh fruit and veggies, and there’s plenty more to keep you going throughout the year.
The calendar launch took place with a fish and chips supper in the Moor Market, with the traders who took part, City Centre Manager Richard Eyre, Chris Carter from Barton Chase Media (who helped to produce the calendars and did free photography), and representatives from Buzz Sheffield, and local resident Kay who supports and uses the service.
The night was a huge success! We’d like to thank everyone who came and supported the calendar.
The 2017 calendars will be on sale in the Moor Market from Thursday 3 November, priced at £4.99, with a limited number available. All proceeds are going to autism charity Buzz Sheffield http://buzzsheffield.co.uk/.
